There has been no talk about shutting the defense factories down yet. The closure of the city should not affect the work of the Zvyozdochka (�Star’) Shiprepairing Center since it has almost no out-of-town employees.

Employees of other factories, if they come from other cities, will be transferred to a remote working regime or settled into hotels on the recommendation of the Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing. Others will be given the opportunity to take annual paid leave or go on unpaid leave.

More than 1 thousand peopleВ have been currently diagnosed with the new virus in Severodvinsk. Most of them are employees of defense enterprises Sevmash and Zvyozdochka.
