Deputy Adam Delimkhanov, who represents Chechnya in the State Duma, told the activists searching for Seda Suleymanova that the issue was outside his jurisdiction. The response was reportedly issued on September 25.

Contrary to this statement, in May, Adam Delimkhanov promised the relatives of Liya Zaurbekova, a young Chechen woman who fled due to domestic violence, that he would help find her. In October, he demanded the lifting of the ban on hijabs in schools in Vladimir Oblast, despite not being directly involved in the region’s affairs.

In 2022, Seda Suleymanova fled her family in Chechnya due to threats of "honor killing."В In 2023, she was abducted by police officers and taken back to the republic, and she has not been in contact since. In February 2024, sources from the North Caucasus SOS (NC SOS) group reported that Seda might have been killed by her relatives. In April, the Investigative Committee initiated a murder case.

A group of activists from the Libertarian Party sent a call for help to all 446 State Duma deputies in August. Only 59 deputies replied, 47 of whom stated they were unable to assist with the request.
