The organizers will explain at the meeting how to write a letter to a political prisoner: what to tell and what not to tell, how to get round the В Federal Penitentiary Service'sВ censorship and what can be put in an envelope. In addition, those who have already sent letters to political prisoners will share their experience. Those who will not make itВ can write their letter using the online instructions.

According to the organizers of the action, it is important not to leave behind the people who have been politically persecuted. Such letters allow them to get away from the prison reality and not feel abandoned.

The meeting is going to take place in the office of the Yabloko Party’s regional branch (4 Posadsky Pereulok, office 106) on March 21, 3PM.

A similar workshop was held in Petrozavodsk in February 2020. Participants of the blogging school in the Agriculture_club Art Space wrote letters to political prisoners. The 7x7 Online Newspaper hasВ published some excerpts.
