The Federal Security Service reported on "solving" all cases of arson attacks on military recruitment centers in Russia. The agency attributes these arsons to "Ukrainian special services placing ads on the Internet with the promise of 'quick money'."В
The same special services, according to the FSB, organized arson attacks on the facilities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Russian Railways.
A new wave of attacks on military recruitment centers occurred across Russian regions from July 31 to August 2. According to calculations by 7x7, Molotov cocktails were used at least 27 times during these three days. At least nine more attacks took place later this month.
Among those detained on suspicion of arson are school teachers, a 76-year-old retiree, and a gas station employee. Human rights activist Anastasia Burakova shared with 7x7 her opinion that the narrative of phone scammers may be part of the Kremlin's propaganda campaign.
