Sergey Shapar was using his Lada to help evacuate residents from the Korenevsky District. A friend of Sergey, who requested anonymity, told "7x7" that he hadn’t eaten or slept for two days before his death.
"He was extremely tired and sleep-deprived, but he kept going. On the night of August 9, he stopped responding," the friend said.
Sergey’s relatives reported that his Lada had been found riddled with bullets. They contacted hospitals and searched for the wounded whom Shapar had evacuated, hoping someone might have information about his whereabouts.

"We searched every hospital for him. Yesterday, I personally drove with his photo to Kurchatov, Peny, Rylsk, and Kursk. Later, I was told that he and his car had been found in Korenevo. He is dead. He is a hero — a true hero," Sergey’s friend shared.
A source in the Korenevsky District administration informed "7x7" that Shapar died in a drone strike.
Acting Governor Alexey Smirnov reported a total of 12 civilian casualties. "7x7" knows the names of six victims: Nina Kuznetsova, who was killed while trying to leave Sudzha; Alexey Trubitsyn, who died in a mine explosion on the way to Kurilovka; ambulance driver Alexander Nikitichev; paramedic Alexander Chekalin; and Sergey Gasevsky, a volunteer at the Gornalsky Monastery.
Nina Kuznetsova’s relatives claim that her car was shot at by a Ukrainian soldier. According to RIA Novosti, the UN has requested access to Kursk Oblast from Russia to assess the situation.
