In early March, a document on 'additional mobilization of citizens for military service,'В which resembled an order by the Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoigu, appeared online. According to the document, another 300,000 individuals should be conscripted between March 25 and June 1, 2024. Chairman of the State Duma Defense Committee, Andrey Kartapolov, dismissed it as fake.В 

'This is complete nonsense! There are no plans for mobilization at all. These are tricks played by our opponents,'В claimed Kartapolov.В 

The 'Agentstvo'В ('Agency') media outlet confirmed that the document shows signs of being fake. A similar photo circulated online in September 2023.
