At 4 pm, activists from the В«Zhenskoe delo SmolenskВ» (Women's Business Smolensk) community came out with a series of single pickets to the front of the Sovremennik cinema. Three participants in the event took turns holding a poster 1.2x1.2 meters with the names of women activists: artist Yulia Tsvetkova, sexologist and psychologist Fotinia Efremova, social activist Tatyana Prishanova, historian Natalya Mitsyuk and ecologist Irina Efimova. Except for Tsvetkova, a resident of Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the rest of the activists were Smolensk residents.

After a half-hour picket, the activists went with a poster to Victory Square and left it in the underpass. One of the participants of the action, Tatyana Borodai, explained to 7x7 that in that way they decided to present these names to the city.

— The action is held on March 8th, because it’s the day of international solidarity of women in the fight for their rights. On this day we chose to remember the activists who are fighting for their rights, and women who, perhaps, did not intend to, but were forced to fight because they were persecuted by the state,” - Tatiana Borodai told 7x7.
