Svetlana Fedurina, a teacher at Sylva school, was fined 3,000 rubles by the Perm court for insulting a student. Fedurina accused the student of betrayal and lack of patriotism because he was late for a rehearsal of a concert dedicated to February 23.
During the confrontation, Fedurina allegedly said, "Don't you understand what day this contest is dedicated to? So you're bastards if you have had zero patriotism since childhood. Then, when you are in the traitors, and they will collect a personal evaluation on you, they will ask the class teacher. I'll write it this way - a 'bastard' from the eighth grade."
The incident was recorded and uploaded to the Internet, leading to the police filing a report on the teacher. She subsequently resigned from her position at the school.
In the Belgorod region, a teacher was also fined for violating rules for conducting examination and labor legislation. The woman had reportedly raised her voice at schoolchildren and called one of them a "moron piece of work." She was fined 30,000 rubles ($370) by the court.
