Lyudmila Romanova visited the people in the temporary accommodation facility, which is located in a hostel. According to her, all rooms in the building needed to be repaired, the shower room being especially clapped out. The toilets are very smoky, children cannot stand the smell. A Ukrainian woman told Romanova that her child with ICP could not eat food from the canteen.
In addition, the refugees complained that there was no vacuum cleaner. According to them, they have to sweep the carpet flooring with a broom, but this does not make it cleaner. Romanova said that the facility administration had already solved some everyday problems of the Ukrainians before, but did not specify which ones.
In Yaroslavl Oblast, refugees from Mariupol also complained about unsuitable housing. According to the family, they got into a "hellhole" with old mattresses and broken beds, with stale air, ramshackle windows, cracked doors, dust, and falling plaster. At first, they were taken in at a recreation center, then moved to a hostel 125 km away from the city.
