On November 13, Pavel Zolotarev shared that he had discussed the looting issue with military police. Police officers stated that operational groups are patrolling the streets of Glushkovsky District and have already detained "certain individuals found with weapons and property that did not belong to them."

Two days earlier, TASS had claimed that Ukrainian soldiers were responsible for looting in Glushkovo. Z-bloggers noted that the settlement was never under AFU control, after which TASS corrected its report.

In September 2024, the Telegram channel Pepel Kursk highlighted a collective letter from residents of the Korenevsky District, who complained of looted shops, gas stations, and homes in areas where "there were no Ukrainian soldiers." The media outlet Vot Tak verified the identities of more than 15 signatories of the letter.

In late October, Kursk Oblast Governor Alexey Smirnov published a report from the village of Korenevo. In the video, a military police officer claimed that looting in the village was "practically non-existent," dismissing it as "enemy misinformation." In response, residents posted photos and videos of looted homes and shops. On November 1, Kursk Oblast Duma deputy Alexey Zolotarev accused looters of stealing cows that had been moved from a farm to a "safer distance" following AFU shelling.
