"7x7" has identified two civilians who were killed during the battles in Kursk Oblast. We already reported the death of 24-year-old Nina Kuznetsova yesterday. Nina’s friends told "7x7" that she was pregnant. She was leaving the town alongside her husband and 2-year-old son when their car came under fire. The young woman’s relatives claim that the car was attacked with a machine gun and that bullet holes could be seen on it, but this information has not been verified. Kuznetsova’s son is currently in the hospital, and his condition is not life-threatening. Her husband did not sustain injuries.

Another victim we identified is 28-year-old Alexey Trubitsyn. "7x7" was informed of his death by the young man’s aunt. According to her, Alexey went to Kurilovka to pick up his mother but died on the way there. Trubitsyn’s aunt believes he fell victim to a mine explosion. She is unable to reach her sister, Alexey’s mother, because there is no communication in Kurilovka.

List of war victims in Russian regions

Alexey Smirnov, the acting head of Kursk Oblast, reported a total of five casualties, including a woman in Sudzha, a bus driver in the village of Komarovka who died in a drone attack, and a minibus driver in the Rylsky District.

Smirnov mentioned two other victims on the evening of August 6. Their names are Alexander Nikitichev and Alexander Chekalin, who worked as a driver and a paramedic on an ambulance. This information was disclosed by the Telegram channel "Pepel. Kursk."

The shelling of Kursk Oblast has intensified since May 2024, when the Russian Armed Forces started creating a so-called sanitary zone in the Kharkiv direction. According to calculations by "7x7," the number of missile attacks on the region has increased fivefold.

On August 6, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) attempted to break through the border near the town of Sudzha. The next morning, Z-bloggers and Russian military correspondents reported that Ukrainians had seized at least three locations at the border of Kursk Oblast. The battles are still ongoing.
