Under the rubble, rescuers found the bodies of four-year-old Amina Akifi, her grandmother Valentina, and her grandfather Igor Kuligin. Amina's parents, Olesya and Khaybar, are in critical condition in the intensive care unit. Olesya works at one of the local universities, and her colleagues have expressed their willingness to provide all possible support to the Akifi family. Olesya's husband works at Radio Sputnik.
Belgorod residents are bringing flowers and toys to the place of the tragedy. According to "Bel.ru," the city administration plans to install a memorial plaque at the site.
In total, 102 civilians have lost their lives on Russian soil as a consequence of the military actions in Ukraine over the past year and a half. The Belgorod region has borne the heaviest toll, with 64 casualties.
