Artyom Konstantinov told 7x7 that the security forces had detained him at the university on June 3. According to the student, they put a bag on his head and took him to the forest, where they put him on his knees and beat him on the head. The young man was forced to confess that he worked for the Security Service of Ukraine. Thereafter, the student's apartment was searched (the document is at the editorial office’s disposal). Certificates from eco-conferences, flash drives, equipment, and the book "Auschwitz: The Nazis and The Final Solution" were seized. Konstantinov did not go to doctors and human rights advocates in the summer because he was "shocked."
According to the student, he was interrogated for about 15 hours. As a result, Konstantinov received a warning about the inadmissibility of treason.
Artyom Konstantinov is sure that one of the reasons for the persecution was his and his Ukrainian friend’s "community of cyber-partisans": young people joined various conferences in Zoom and played the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky’s address. They posted reports from the "raids" in the Telegram channel, which has now been deleted.
On Oktober 4, Konstantinov was again summoned for an "informal conversation". The student told 7x7 that the security forces had invited him to talk 15 times during the summer. Konstantinov claims that the security forces threatened him with a criminal case for separatism, extremism, and discrediting the military because of anti-war videos on his YouTube channel.
Cases of beatings by law enforcement officers are also known in other cities. In early August, two young people from the Antifa Movement were going to set the military commissariat in Krasnoyarsk on fire because of their position on the special operation in Ukraine. According to a source of RIA Novosti, in July, residents of Krasnoyarsk attacked the apartment of a local resident, threatened him with a gun and a knife. They also painted anti-war graffiti in the streets of the city. After that, the Russian Special Police Force’s fighters detained them, the court placed them in custody.
After that, anarchists from Irkutsk held pickets in defense of the arrested. They said, citing the young people’s parents, that those had allegedly been tortured in a pre-trial detention center. According to the relatives, one of them had his face beaten up. The family reported that he had been forced to confess under pressure.
