On March 13, RIA Novosti released a video of the activist's detention. The report states that the woman has been accused of treason, as she was funding the Ukrainian military forces. Nevertheless, the woman's name remains unknown.
Activists of the YaMyFurgal movement have informed the 7x7 media that they have no knowledge of the woman detained. According to them, none of the regular participants of actions in support of Sergei Furgal, a former Governor of Khabarovsk Krai, has been arrested. They believe that this might be done as part of the authorities' plan to discredit the movement.
The activists have also stated that, based on the video, the detention occurred on March 11 or 12. The video shows sunny weather while it was snowing heavily in Khabarovsk on March 13.
In the past week, a series of detentions took place for committing treason. On March 9, the FSB detained an 18-year-old student from Karelia who, according to the official information, was recruiting Russians to join the Ukranian forces and advocated for Karelia’s independence from Russia. He is facing up to 20 years in prison.
On March 13, two individuals were detained in Novgorod and Astrakhan oblasts. A resident of Petrozavodsk, who opposes Russian aggression in Ukraine, was accused of intention to join the Ukrainian military forces. The other man, a Novgorod resident, was calling soldiers to surrender and passed information about Russian troops to Ukrainians. He is being prosecuted for secret cooperation with a foreign state.
