Andrei Filippov was found guilty of disseminating false information about the Russian army. He had published a video on his YouTube channel titled "The war between Russia and Ukraine: a Ukrainian viewpoint." The blogger told OVD-Info that the evidence presented in the case could be interpreted as discrediting the army rather than proving the presence of falsified information.

"I don't understand why they fined me... There were no falsifications whatsoever. According to the accusation, what I said does not align with the official view of the Russian Armed Forces," Filippov explained to 7x7.

The blogger launched his channel in 2021, discussing vaccination issues, criticizing the Mari El authorities and law enforcement agencies, and addressing the war in Ukraine.

On the same day, media manager Ilya Krasilshchik received a sentence for spreading false information. He was sentenced to eight years in prison in absentia. The case against him originated from Krasilshchik's Instagram* post about the events in Bucha.

Ilya Krasilshchik, ex-publisher of Meduza, is currently residing abroad. In July 2022, he was placed on the Interior Ministry's wanted list. Presently, Ilya Krasilshchik is involved in the Support Service project, which shares stories of Ukrainians affected by the war and provides advice for individuals with an anti-war position.
